Why Kizz Daniel did not perform at the Qatar 2022 World Cup opening ceremony?

The singer’s participation at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022 caused some uncertainty.

Fans were alarmed when the musician did not appear on stage on Sunday after believing he was scheduled to perform at the opening ceremony alongside fellow Nigerian artist CKay.

The ‘Buga’ artist, who confirmed he would perform at the event, said he was scheduled to appear on November 23, not November 20, as had been rumoured.

On Friday, November 11, Kizz Daniel announced on his Instagram page that he would perform during the World Cup in Qatar.

He wrote: “This one is for Africa. This one is for Vado nation. See you in Qatar World Cup on 23/11/2022.”
