Watch How Nigerian Military Officers Rain Bombs On Boko Haram Terrorists
Over the weekend the Nigerian military shelled militants from Boko Haram in the forest of Sambisa, Borno State.
Footage has been released from the operation.
The bombardment was carried out by Operation LAFIYA DOLE Air Task Force (ATF).
Cannon attacks in Boko Haram enclave hit several targets.
The raid followed missions of Intelligence , Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), which confirmed that the terrorists had been upgrading their operations.
The ISR showed Boko Haram importing additional fighters and increasing their supply stocks in preparation for attacks on the positions of troops and civilian settlements surrounding it.
Significant terrorist activity was detected at various parts of the settlement above the target area.
The ATF thus dispatched assets and a monitoring platform to engage the location.
The jets of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) turned up to strike and neutralized several insurgents.
They also destroyed logistics facilities and other structures.
