Two staffs test positive after unknowingly treating COVID-19 patients in Lagos private hospital
A private health center in Lekki Phase One vicinity of Lagos, Vedic Lifecare, has stated two of its personnel examined positive for COVID-19.
The clinic in a declaration on Monday stated the team of workers contracted the sickness after treating a patient, who unknowingly had COVID-19.
It said, “Dear clients and visitors, about 10 days ago, we had an in-patient who later examined positive for COVID 19 after discharge.
“As per protocols set by using NCDC, we have examined our workforce who have come in contact with the COVID-19 positive affected person and unfortunately, we have had two group of workers members who examined positive yesterday.
“The affected person and our body of workers are now being managed by the NCDC at their isolation centre.
“Till this moment, they do not exhibit any symptoms. As per the authorities COVlD-19 administration protocol, the facility is presently closed for decontamination of the building and fumigation activities.
“This can also take up to three to 4 days. We are presently checking out the remaining body of workers members of the hospital and will proceed to update absolutely everyone as soon as the testing concludes and the clinic can reopen.”
