TRACE Arrests 30 Almajiris Seen Inside A Truck Filled With Pepper
Not less than 30 Almajiris hidden in a truck carrying pepper to an unknown destination had been arrested via security operatives in Ogun State.
The Iveco truck, which was once supposed to carry solely goods, was intercepted at Joju location of Sango in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State by way of operatives of Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps [TRACE] on Monday.
Spokesman of TRACE, Babatunde Akinbiyi, in a statement, stated the truck with registration number Kano XG172 KNG, loaded with different pepper, was blanketed with tarpaulin.
“The Almajirai have been packed collectively with a number of kinds of pepper which crammed the truck to the brim.
“The truck was once became returned and led to tollgate from the place they stated they got here in.”
According to him,what the truck was conveying got here to light when TRACE operatives compelled the driver to park and untie the tarpaulin.
When requested the place the truck was coming from and the place it was once heading to, Akinbiyi said, the truck was coming from Lagos axis.
He added,
