SDP reveals dates for Congresses, National Convention

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) will conduct its national convention in May 2022, from the 28th to the 30th.

Chief Supo Shonibare, the party’s acting National Chairman, made the disclosure in Abuja on Thursday, while briefing newsmen.

According to the Acting National chairman, 19th May 2022 has been slated for the ward and local government congresses of the party, while 20th May 2022, would witness the State congresses.

Shonibare claimed that there was a conspiracy by what he called “usurpers” that joined the party in 2018, in cohort with some elements at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to make the party ineffective through factionalization.
