Police Arrests One Of The Suspect Involved In The Murder Of Uwa

One of the suspects linked to Miss Vera Uwaila Omozuwa’s rape and murder has been arrested by police officers attached to the command of the Edo state police.

We reported earlier that the University of Benin, Edo State’s 22-year-old 100 level student was raped and killed while reading in a Benin city church.

Edo police command spokesman Chidi Nwabuzor announced the arrest while talking to newspeakers.

He said the perpetrator was arrested after the deceased was rushed to the hospital, and examined the fingerprint on the fire extinguisher with which she was hit.

Nwabuzor said Ikpoba Hill’s Area Commander was mobilizing his men to make sure the suspect is apprehended.

The police said more investigation is ongoing and more suspects will be arrested in the coming days.
