The Nigeria Police Force on Tuesday said it nabbed a 28-year-old lady member of a kidnap gangnotorious for perpetrating crimes in Sokoto, Kebbi, Kaduna and Niger States.
It stated Fatima Garba, who used to be the armourer of the gang, used to be arrested alongside different members.
“Fatima, who confessed of being the gang’s armourer for over a year, claimed to acquire a good-looking reward every time the weapons had been back to her after every operation.
“She recounted understanding that the fingers which she normally stored in a neatly dug gap in her compound had been used for robberies, kidnapping and different crook purposes,” the Police spokesperson, Frank Mba, stated in a statement.
Fatima, a dealer and single mom of two, used to be stated to have been recruited via her boyfriend, Abubakar Usman.
The Police stated different contributors of the gang have been arrested.
“Samaila Usman ‘m’ aged 28, Mohammed Ibrahim ‘m’ aged 30, Mohammed Agali ‘m’ aged 22, Dahiru Bello ‘m’ aged 33, Shamsu Mohammed ‘m’ aged 30, Mohammed Usman ‘m’ aged 37, Umar Abdullahi ‘m’ 33, Buhari Abubakar ‘m’ aged 33 and Abubakar Garba ‘m’ aged 37.”
