Peter Obi said this on Wednesday night’s episode of Arise TV Prime Time, according to Naija News.

The former governor of Anambra State claimed that his campaign platform, which is focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as issues of security, national unity, and economic revitalization, will put more emphasis on important matters and not waste time going after corrupt officials.

His party was working with the and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) to fine-tune the manifesto in accordance with the Charter Demand of Labor, he claimed, adding that “labor interest is critical, and we want to bring it into our manifesto and protect same.” He claimed that the party’s manifesto was “95% ready.”

“Our manifesto is anchored on the Sustainable Development Goals and that the key issues are security, uniting the country, ensuring that our cohesion comes back to what it used to be, issues of Rule of Law, Law and order, fighting corruption, making the productive, creating jobs amongst others,” he said.

Security was one problem, he insisted, that the government would address “decisively” because it affected everything else.

He continued by saying that multi-level policing will be implemented, starting with local governments and moving up to the state, then the level, and that the entire security infrastructure would be reviewed.

The Labour Party presidential stated that after issues of insecurity and poverty had been resolved, he would begin constitutional restructuring in addition to restructuring the country’s security system and economy. He added that “we need to restructure the country, this one will happen, I believe in it, and it is in the interest of the entire nation.”
