PDP Postpones Edo Guber Primary

In Edo State, the People’s Democratic Party has postponed their primary election.

The primary election, originally scheduled for 19 and 20 June, was postponed to 23 June.

The PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said to Live News Nigeria, “We postponed our primary in Edo until June 23.”

It has been confirmed that on Wednesday, Obaseki met with the Chairman of the Forum for Governors of the People’s Democratic Party, Aminu Tambuwal, and the National Chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus.

Our correspondent gathered that the meeting was being held in Asokoro at the Rivers State Governor’s Abuja home, Nyesome Wike.

It was assembled that the two leaders of the PDP and some others attending gave assurances of their support to the Edo state governor.

A private source to the meeting said, “The meeting was held at its various locations after a virtual meeting with PDP governors. That’s all I can say.’

It was assembled that the issues discussed included the fate of the deputy of Obaseki and others who would join the PDP with him.

The meeting was scheduled for June 23, 24, barely a week before the Edo State PDP Primary.
