Oyo monarch’s wife, daughter regain freedom from kidnappers.

The kidnapped spouse of a traditional ruler in Oyo State, Funbi Ojo, has regained freedom from her abductors.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reviews that additionally released was the monarch’s daughter.

The release of the victims, who have been the spouse and daughter of Oba Olusanjo Ojo, the Baba-Aso of Igbole in Igboora, was once proven through the Oyo State Police Command on Thursday.

A household source had informed NAN that the duo have been released on Wednesday night by means of their abductors on the Igboora-Abeokuta road.

It used to be gathered that the monarch’s wife, who is the Matron of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology Health Centre, Igboora, used to be kidnapped along side her daughter whilst returning from work on Monday evening.

Although the kidnappers had on Tuesday nighttime via a cellphone name demanded a N4 million ransom for the duo to be released, it should no longer be verified whether or not a ransom was once finally paid.

NAN reviews that the incident was once one of various being skilled in Ibarapa location of the state, in particular Igboora, with no fewer than 10 of such kidnap cases recorded in the final two years.

Confirming the release of the victims, Gbenga Fadeyi, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, stated the duo have been released unharmed.

“I can affirm to you that the kidnapped spouse of the monarch and her daughter have been released unhurt,” he said.(NAN)
