Orji Kalu condemns Deborah Yakubu’s murder.

Sen. Orji Kalu, Chief Whip of the Senate, has condemned the heinous murder of Ms Deborah Yakubu, a student at Shehu Shahari College of Education in Sokoto.

Yakubu was set on fire by her classmates after they accused her of blasphemy against Prophet Muhammed (SAW).

Kalu described the act as evil, cruel, and barbaric in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja.

The former governor of Abia urged the Sokoto State Government, security agencies, and higher education authorities to work together to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Kalu stated that the late Yakubu was murdered in her prime and emphasized that the heinous crime must be condemned in its entirety.

While expressing condolences to the deceased’s family, Kalu urged students at the institution to avoid violence and social vices.

He went on to say that the perpetrators of the crime would face the full force of the law.
