Nasarawa State House Of Assembly Loses One Member
Alhaji Suleiman Adamu, a member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly representing Nasarawa Central constituency, is dead.
Alhaji Mohammed Okpoku, representing the Udege / Loko constituency, declared the lawmaker’s death to the state’s Nasarawa Local Government Area newsmen on Friday.
Okpoku said Suleiman died after a brief illness at the Keffi Federal Medical Center (FMC) in the late hours of Thursday 30 April.
He said the lawmaker’s remains would be buried in Nasarawa local government area by 9 am Friday.
“I am very sad to announce the death of my colleague, Hon Suleiman Adamu, who is with me from the same local government,” he said. “His death is a terrible loss for us and we will continue to pray for his soul’s rest.”
The Nigeria News Agency (NAN) reports the deceased left one wife and five children behind.
