NAPTIP Reveals Names Of Convicted Rapists In Nigeria
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Human Trafficking (NAPTIP) has released the names and images of convicted sex criminals, including Nigerian rapists.
The names and images were released on Sunday via the agency’s Twitter account. In 2019 six offenders were convicted from the names published, while in 2020 four others were convicted.
A further breakdown of the names published showed that the offenders are from the states of Ekiti, Abuja, Kano and Lagos. Among those named is Adegboyega Adenekan, 47, a former supervisor at Chrisland School, who was imprisoned 60 years for defiling a two-year – old child.
Others are Olaoluwa David Ajibade, Vincent Akande, Abdulkareem Yahaya Danmallam, Yusuf Francis Kyemang, and Basiru Adeyanju, Friday Elijah, Shehu Abubakar, Asateru Gabriel, and Emeka Akile.
NAPTIP in the post assured Nigerians it had committed itself to ending rape and sexual abuse.
“Here are the names of registered sex offenders as seen in the Nigeria List of Sex Offenders. @Naptipnigeria is committed to name and shame all sex offenders. More names will be released as the cases start to come in, “the agency tweeted.

Earlier, NAPTIP Director-General Julie Okah-Donli urged Nigerians to report cases of rape to the agency or nearest police station in their immediate vicinity.
