Manchester United Agree To Sign £300,000 Player
A few days ago, we published a report that says Manchester United is able to smash Tottenham and snatch Joe Hugill’s signing from the Black Cats.
The latest media reports now say that the Red Devils have come to an understanding with the team, and are close to hiring their services.
Man Utd is expected to sign the 16-year-old striker, and have reached personal terms with him, according to Football Insider. When he turns 17 in October, the center forward will sign a professional contract with the PL giants.
However, the source has confirmed that the Old Trafford club will negotiate with The Black Cats on a settlement fee to get the signing completed and this is expected to be around £300,000.
Back in November last year, the teenage boy made his debut for Sunderland’s U-18 side and scored a goal against Middlesbrough in a game that his team lost 4-3.
Hugill was promoted to U-23 team a few months ago. He made his premiere against the Hammers in the Premier League 2 in February, and found the net twice. Unfortunately he ended up on the losing side again (4-2). The juvenile has yet to taste success with The Black Cats.
Let’s hope the starlet is joining us and working towards being a first team star. For now our present strike-force is not strong enough and the summer transfer window needs to be strengthened.
44 Expectations are simply not good enough in 29 League games. At this point we have had 14 more goals in the last campaign. Robin van Persie scored 26 goals in our 2012-13 season winning title but since then no Man United striker has even scored 20 league goals in a season.
Man Utd therefore needs a prolific goal-scorer for the next term and they need to spend the cash in summer to sign one.
