Man Arrested For Stealing Woman’s Phone Worth N45,000

A 23-year-old man, Ikechukwu Jude was arrested in Amakwu village Oraifite, Ekwusigo Area of Anambra state for allegedly robbing a woman of her phone valued at N45,000.

The perpetrator, who is a resident of Isielu, Enugu State, reportedly robbed the victim’s phone at gunpoint, Jennifer Okwueze.

The spokesperson for the police, Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect was arrested in coordination with local Vigilante Group by police operatives attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squard (SARS).

He said the suspect will be charged once investigations have been concluded.

He said, “At around 3:30pm on 11/6/2020, police officers attached to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squard (SARS) in conjunction with the Local Vigilante Group arrested an Ikechukwu Jude ‘m’ aged 23 from Isielu State.

“Suspect had at about 8:45pm on 10/6/2020 in Amakwu village Oraifite allegedly stolen one of Jennifer Okwueze’s # 45,000 at gunpoint from her infinix phone.

“Exhibits recovered from the suspect include the snatched phone and one single barrel revolver pistol.

“Case under investigation which suspect would be charged for prosecution before the court.”
