Man arrested for setting ablaze government’s generator in Anambra
A suspect has been arrested for allegedly destroying an authority owned property.
On Friday, April 24, at about 09:30am, following intelligence report, Police operatives connected to the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) arrested one Ekenedilichukwu Ebuka, 27, from Nibo in Anambra State.
The suspect had on Thursday, April 23, at about 10:30pm, allegedly set ablaze an authorities Mikano generator used for powering road lights placed at Umuokpu in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Haruna, verified the incident on Friday and stated the case is presently under investigation to confirm the reason behind his motion after which suspect would be charged to Court for prosecution.
