Khadijah Okunnu, SDP presidential candidate, submits nomination form.

Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi, a presidential aspirant, took the next step in her quest for a more equitable, inclusive, progressive, and viable Nigeria when she submitted her presidential nomination form ahead of her Social Democratic Party (SDP) primaries on Tuesday, May 10th, 2022, at the party secretariat in Abuja.

The nomination form was received on behalf of the party by Alh. Shehu Gabam, National Chairman of the Party, and Dr Olu Agunloye, National Organizing Secretary.

Okunnu-Lamidi is concur that “This upcoming election is a redefining moment for our dear country, the message of hope and belief is what every Nigerian is holding onto at this moment. The time to turn things around is now. The mandate given to me by the people is what drives me, we are so proud of our progress so far.”

“Becoming the flag bearer of the Social Democratic Party to contest for the presidency of Nigeria is the next stage so help me God,” said Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi.

Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi, 38 years, is a member of Nigeria’s teeming youth majority demographic, that believes in the hope and promise of a better Nigeria guaranteed by the ability and capacity of its youth population, which demands now more than ever before to be a part of the governance process that defines their lives today and in the future.

Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi is a dedicated Nigerian with a well-thought-out statically derived people-led strategy roadmap for making Nigeria work. Okunnu-Lamidi has been involved in a number of social impact initiatives, including Water Relief NG and Help Our Youth, both of which are aimed at addressing Nigeria’s urgent challenges of a lack of clean water and youth unemployment.
