Juventus Agree £72.5m Arthur Deal With Barcelona
According to Sky Sports, Juventus has struck a £72.5 million deal with Barcelona to sign Brazil’s international Arthur Melo.
The Catalans accepted a bid for the midfielder worth £ 72.5 million ($91 million), while talks continue over Juve star Miralem Pjanic, who is wanted at Camp Nou.
Sarri wants to build his midfield around him in a manner similar to Jorginho’s at Napoli and Chelsea, according to Sky Sports News.
They have also offered more wages for the 23-year-old than his current Barca deal.
According to Sky Italy, Juve is worth £ 63.4m (€70m) for the 30-year-old, but Barcelona has been told to Sky Sports News that he doesn’t think he’s worth just £9m (€10m) less than Arthur.
The two clubs are also said to want the transfer to be completed by June 30 – but this was denied by Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici.
