JUST IN: Oyo State Commissioner For Environment, Kehinde Ayoola Is Dead
Oyo State Environment Commissioner, Mr Kehinde Ayoola, is late. He died according to a government source on Thursday morning.
The Oyo State commissioner for environment and Natural resources Olatunji Kehinde Ayoola dies at 55.
Confirming his death was his family and Taiwo Adisa, the spokesperson to Governor Rotimi Makinde, according to them, he was reported to have been ill for some weeks before his death and the cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
Around two weeks ago, he was said to have driven himself to a hospital where he was being treated and advised to have full rest at home.
Mr Ayoola was born on January 14 in Oyo State, Nigeria. he studied Animal Science and Environmental Management and Control in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
The commissioner who hailed from Oyo town was the first Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly during the era of Lam Adesina as Governor became Environment Commissioner following the inauguration of Governor Seyi Makinde in 2019.
He represented Oyo East state constituency between 1999 and 2003 at the Oyo State House of Assembly and was the Speaker of the assembly in 1999.
He is survived by two sons and his wife Olukemi Ayoola.
