JUST IN: Court Says Victor Giadom Can’t Act As APC’s Chairman
A state high court sitting in Port Harcourt , Rivers State, has ruled that Victor Giadom, a former deputy national secretary of the All Progressive Congress ( APC), can not be the party’s acting national chairman.
It was found that the court chaired by Justice Florence Fiberesima granted a perpetual injunction order restricting Giadom from parading himself as a member of the APC ‘s National Working Committee (NWC) in a suit filed by Dele Moses & Others.
Wechie Livinstone, Media Advisor to Rivers State’s APC Acting Chairman, Igo Aguma, confirmed that the court ordered the APC not to recognize Giadom named as the third defendant in the case as a member of the NWC.
The court also granted an order restricting Giadom from issuing, signing or endorsing any document or correspondence to the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC) or any other body or institution in the capacity of the APC’s National Chairman or Acting National Chairman or howsoever as an APC officer.
The court said Giadom could not claim to be a member of the NWC having resigned from his position as Deputy Governor to contest the 2019 general election.
