Imam arrested in Kano for holding Juma’at prayer
The Kano State Government has arrested an Imam for defying the nation lockdown order via main friday congregation prayers.
Special Adviser to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on Media, Salihu Tanko Yakasai verified the arrest on his Twitter handle.
He said: “The Imam of Gwammaja Mosque that carried out Friday Prayers these days in Kano regardless of the lockdown order has been arrested.
“The lockdown was once with the full advantages of all the Imams in the State from the special islamic sects.
The solely way to put into effect social distancing is lockdown.”
