I Was Racially Abused In China – Odion Ighalo
Odion Ighalo has revealed that a former teammate in China has racially abused him and that he will be walking out of the pitch if that happens again.
Ighalo recalled that while playing former club Changchun Yatai he was being abused.
“The guy was calling all these things to me. I got angry and I walked out of the pitch and straight into the dressing room without shaking any hands after the game, “he recalled.
“My team said they’re going to report the matter to the FA but I haven’t pushed it forward.”
The Manchester United player has confirmed he’s going to take another approach now.
“I’m going to complain to the referee, the officials, and I’m going to go out if they don’t take action.”
He said education will stop racism, especially of the younger generation. We must educate them, we are all people, there is no distinction, we should fight for humanity and not for colour, “he urged
