Governor Ortom’s Wife, Son Test Positive For COVID-19
Eunice Ortom, wife of the governor of the Benue State, Samuel Ortom has tested COVID-19 positively.
Mrs. Ortom stated in a statement Friday that her son and some of her staff were also performing positively.
She said she has since gone into total isolation and has been urging people who have been in contact with her in the last two weeks to get the disease tested.
“This evening, a few moments ago, I received my result from the tests previously conducted on me by NCDC staff on routine screening at the House of Government, Makurdi, which returned positive. I, my son and a few workers are optimistic about COVID-19.

“From this moment on we have gone into complete isolation as prescribed by the NCDC protocol and will start the management and treatment immediately as recommended by medical experts,” she added.
The wife of the governor stressed that COVID-19 is not a death sentence, adding that all should be responsible for their actions in order to keep others safe.
