Ganduje Reopens Viewing Centres In Kano As LaLiga Resumes

Following the restoration of in Spain and other leagues in Europe in the midst of a partial lockdown in Kano State, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje guided the reopening of all state viewing centers.

Nevertheless, he instructed them to follow all the procedures the health workers had enunciated.

He made this known when the leadership of the Association of Soccer Viewing Centers, Kano State, issued a courtesy call to him in his office on Friday, urging the centers to be easy to lock down.

He also donated 40,000 face masks in their viewing centers for distribution in order to reinforce the observance of the existing protocols.

“It’s in line with our decision to see that our economy is bouncing back, by revitalizing the state’s and other business activities, that I’ve directed all viewing centers to reopen from today,” he said.

Note that when they gather youth in their viewing centers, they need to make sure they use it as a forum to raise consciousness among youth about ways to help contain the pandemic.

The association’s head of state, Sharu Rabi’u Ahlan, commended the efforts made by Governor Ganduje in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, assuring that, “Your Excellency, on behalf of all our members, we appreciate your unremitting efforts for human development, especially young people.”

“We are grateful for the masks which His Excellency has given us to face. And we pledge to follow all the protocols, Mr. Our members still back your policies. And we are working well with the state information ministry and the state censorship board, “he said.
