FG donates vegetable oil and four trucks of rice to Kogi

The Federal Government on Friday delivered three-truck masses of rice and one truck-load of vegetable oil as phase of is palliatives on COVID-19 to the human beings of Kogi State.

A delegation from the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development led through Mrs Nadia Mohammed, delivered the objects to the state authorities in Lokoja.

Mohammed stated that the palliative have been for distribution to the people to cushion the outcomes of the COVID-19 pandemic on them.

According to her, the motion is in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s order that meals palliatives have to be dispensed to susceptible humans throughout the country.

The minister charged officers that will be in cost to do the distribution with the concern of God, announcing that the items have to be disbursed to solely the needy.

Receiving the items on behalf of the state government, the state Deputy-Governor, Mr Edward Onoja, recommended the President for his problem for the susceptible humans at this hard period.

He promised that the items will be judiciously handled, assuring that they will get to the meant beneficiaries.

The Deputy Governor, who stated that the state was yet to file any case of COVID-19, stated that efforts would proceed to be made to make certain that the state remained free of the disease.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Jamiu Abdulkareem, in a vote of thanks, described the intervention as timely.

He thanked the Federal Government for the kind gesture, calling on company organizations and nicely that means humans to emulate the gesture.
