Cultist Clash In Rivers State Leaving One Member Dead
A suspected leader of the Dey-gbam cult group in Port Harcourt Diobu region, Rivers State has reportedly been killed in a struggle with a rival party.
The victim who is yet to be named has allegedly stolen an unsuspected pregnant woman from her cell phone, which enraged members of the Dey-well cult community, sparking the deadly clash.
Nonetheless, Diobu Security Agencies (Local Vigilante) men’s involvement prevented the situation from worsening.
State police command spokesman Nnamdi Omoni was unable to confirm as at the time this report was filled out, but eye witness accounts to the Nation’s that the incident happened on Saturday at timber water front Mile 11, diobu, Port Harcourt.
According to him, “the alleged Dey-gbam cult group / robber leader snatched the cell phone a Pregnant woman, members of a rival party that saw the criminal assault the woman came in the woman’s defense.
“They arrested the perpetrator and subjected him to extreme beating instead of handing him over to the police, killing him in the process.
“As death news spread into the neighborhood, members of his cult group came out searching for the other faction, but the crisis would have exploded without the rapid intervention of members of the local vigilante group,” he said.
