COVID-19: Government Extends Travel Ban In Major Cities By 15 Days
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Turkish Government extended the travel ban in 15 major cities for another 15 days.
This was revealed in a statement by Turkey’s Interior Ministry on Tuesday.
Travel ban will run until June 3 and administrative fines will be levied on those who are found disobeying the restrictions.
Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Balikesir, Bursa, Eskisehir, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Konya, Manisa, Sakarya, Samsun, Van, and Zonguldak are among the cities with restrictions.
This ban includes travel to and from these cities by air , land, and sea.
Turkey imposed the first travel ban on curbing coronavirus spread across 31 provinces in April.
