Court Orders Giadom To Stop Participating In APC Activities

A Rivers State High Court directed the acting National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Victor Giadom, to refrain from any party activity.

Justice C. Nwogu issued the order Tuesday after Okechukwu Ogbonna and Mac-Lord Peterson filed a motion exparte.

Justice Nwogu said that Giadom remained suspended from the party until motion on notice has been determined before the court.

The APC, the party’s Acting Chairman in Rivers, Igo Aguma, Giadom, and Chairman, Fact-Finding Committee, APC, Rivers State, have been named as defendants in the motion.

According to the order, after its suspension “by APC State Executive Committee in Rivers State,” the court restrained Giadom from participating in any “APC activity in whatever capacity or form or manner”

The court also issued and ordered an temporary injunction barring Giadom from parading as an officer or member of the APC or exercising any right or privilege enjoyed to members of the APC or having been suspended by the group.

Furthermore, the court granted a substituted service order for originating processes including the motion on notice on all the defendants adding that such processes should be pasted on the Port Harcourt APC Secretariat.

Justice Nwogu adjourned the matter to July 9.
