Veteran performer and activist Charles Oputa, well known by his stage name Charly Boy, has criticized Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai for his caustic statement regarding the planned two-million-person Labour Party march (LP). Peter Obi, a candidate for president, is there.

Supporters of Obi, sometimes known as “Obidients,” have been conducting marches in state capitals to demonstrate their power ahead of the 2023 general election.

Similar marches were held by the “Obidients” to show their support for Obi in Nasarawa and Cross River States.

El-Rufai tweeted: “In Kaduna? Not Kaduna Twitter? I hope you get Two Hundred persons on the streets, including those ‘imports’ that can’t open their shops on Mondays, and came on an overnight bus last night!! I just dey laff, wallahi tallahi!!”

Charly Boy responded to the governor’s remark by criticizing him for failing to propose a solution to the numerous problems that have plagued the state under his administration.

“Can you just imagine dis clannish clown, El-Rufai, wey dey owe salary. Kaduna is now the leading state in terrorism. The once upon a time very peaceful state is now a bandit paradise. Many of the victims of the Kaduna attack dem still hold hostage.

“The only tin wey dey worry dis clown na the one million March pass by Peter Obi supporters.
Nonsense. @ourmumudondo,” Area Fada tweeted.
