Buratai Reveals The Number Of Boko Haram Terrorists Killed In Six Weeks
Over 1,000 Boko Haram insurgents have been killed in the last six weeks, Nigeria’s army chief, Tukur Buratai, has said.
This he revealed during a Sunday luncheon organized by Operation Lafiya Dole.
Buratai stated that in the period around 84 high-ranking logistics and informants from Boko Haram were apprehended.
“We successfully evicted the BHT ‘s major camps. In the ongoing operation in the states of Borno , Yobe and Adamawa we killed 1,015 terrorists and ISWAP respectively.
“In the ongoing operation that started 12 April, 2020, we have also arrested 84 BHTs logistics and information providers,” he said.
Buratai also thanked Nigeria Air Force, Nigerian Navy and Police’s assistance in helping the war against insurgency.
