Buhari Reacts As Kogi Chief Judge, Ajanah Dies At COVID-19 Isolation Centre
President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled the passing of Chief Judge, Hon, with the government and people of Kogi State. Justice Ajana Nasir.
Live News Nigeria reported earlier that on Sunday morning, 64-year-old Nasiru Ajanah, the Kogi State chief justice, died.
He died at the COVID-19 Gwagwalada Isolation Centre, Abuja.
Ajanah was struggling with a health challenge.
Complications of the coronavirus have been found to aggravate his disease.
In a statement signed by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, and made available to Live News Nigeria, the president commiserated over the death of the legal luminary with his family, the Nigerian Bar Association and the Benchers’ Body.
He encouraged the family and all colleagues to take comfort in their prayers and embrace God’s will.
The statement said that President Buhari “believes that the late chief judge has made a tremendous impact on the state, its chosen career and society, with strong evidence that his death would create a huge void in the judiciary.”
He prays that the Almighty God give eternal rest to the departed soul.
