Buhari Orders The Importation Of Madagascar’s Drug
The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has approved Madagascar’s importation into Nigeria of the coveted coronavirus remedy.
Boss Mustapha, chairman of the COVID-19 Presidential Task Force, made that known during a briefing in Abuja on Monday.
Mustapha, who is also the Federation’s Secretary of Government, said, “Madagascar has made allocations to various countries, and has sent them to Guinea Bissau. We are expected to make arrangements for the transfer of freight to Nigeria from Guinea Bissau; it will be subject to the normal pharmaceutical validation process.
“Mr President has provided instructions for the airlifting of Madagascar’s COVID-19 Syrup allocation to Nigeria; has also given specific instructions that it must be subject to the normal pharmaceutical testing process; there will be no exceptions to this.” He assured Nigerians that the task force has stepped up efforts to stop the spread of the virus in Nigeria.
“Nigeria has just one national response to the pandemic COVID-19. Where the application of non-pharmaceutical treatments has various approaches. But there is only one national response about the response, “he added.
