BREAKING: APC Chairman Dies In South Africa
President Muhammadu Buhari, Wednesday received news of the death of Dr Taiye Olusola Abe, Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in South Africa, aged 65.
Buhari sympathizes with the deceased’s family , friends and colleagues in his message of condolence signed by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, urging them to take heart, and praying that God will comfort them in this time of sorrow.
President Buhari remembers several meetings with the departed on visits to South Africa, pointing out that he was a man of unmistakable affection for Nigeria and sincere devotion to the All Progressive Congress ideals.
“Dr. Abe looked forward to a Nigeria that would take its rightful place among the comity of nations, and passionately believed that we could all be proud of a resurgent country. We are not going to relent in working towards that goal, “says the President.
He urges APC members in South Africa to continue the good work pioneered by Dr Abe, especially in being party’s worthy ambassadors and their fatherland.
