Borno Killings: Buhari Orders Nigerian Military To Go After Boko Haram Terrorists

President Muhammadu Buhari says he is profoundly saddened by the Boko Haram / Islam brutal killing of hundreds of people in West Africa Province (ISWAP) in the village of Gubio, Borno State.

He directed the Army to go after the terrorists.

The presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, contained his reaction in a statement Wednesday night.

Buhari said that he expects Governor Babagana Zulum to send a detailed briefing on the results of his visit to the communities affected.

He noted that “the primordial nature of the killings is especially surprising because it did not happen long after the Ramadan and Eid and the country is preparing to celebrate the Day of Democracy.”

Buhari charged the armed forces with maintaining “the terrorists’ successes in extracting a heavy price from the attackers”

The president ordered them to bring back all those abducted and the large number of rustled cattle.

He expressed condolences to the bereaved families , communities and the Borno State government and people from the people of Nigeria.
