Body Of Teenager Swept Away By Flood In Lagos Recovered

According to Islamic laws, the body of the 19-year-old girl swept away by flood at Surulere was buried beside the Onilegogoro Canal.

The Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said that on 22, near Surulere Low-Cost Housing Estate, the remains of the 19-year-old teenager who was swept away by flood were retrieved and buried next to the Onilegogoro Canal.

LASEMA Director-General, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, made the announcement Wednesday in Lagos.

“Apart from the canal at Onilegogoro in Surulere she was buried by community members,” he said.
