Benue State University VC Tests Positive For COVID-19
The Vice Chancellor of Benue State University, Professor Msugh Hembe, has tested positive for COVID-19, Live News Nigeria reports.
It can be noted that the university authorities decontaminated the school on Tuesday which fuelled speculations that the University’s vice-chancellor and top management staff had tested positive for the virus.
Hembe who verified this in a post he shared on Facebook, advised all university staff and close associates to take the Coronavirus test and isolate themselves as well.
In the Facebook post he wrote;
“On Monday, 29th June, 2020, my test result for COVID-19 returned positive.
“I have been in isolation since I found out on Monday about my positive exposure to the virus.
“Staff of Benue State University and close associates are advised to check themselves, isolate and be pragmatic.
He warned everyone to take responsibility, adding that “the virus doesn’t move; we move it. Take responsibility.”
