The union in a suit filed before the National Industrial Court in Benin by the Ambrose Alli University chapter said the suspension was unconstitutional, illegal, null and void, and ultra vires the powers of the defendants.

The Edo State government, as well as the Attorney-General and the Commissioner for Justice, are also named as defendants in the suit.

There is no set date for the suit’s hearing.
