APC Disqualifies Obaseki And Two Others Ahead Of Primaries
The All Progressive Congress (APC) has announced that Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki will be disqualified from the June 22 primary election.
Recall that Obaseki had previously alleged the chairman of the APC planned to announce his disqualification in a press conference.
Immediately after the allegations were made, Jonathan Ayuba, chairman of the APC screening committee, declared Obaseki’s disqualification while delivering his report to Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the APC, at the Abuja national secretariat.
Ayuba said Obaseki was disqualified on account of a faulty certificate.
The panel also excluded two other aspirants, Matthew Aigbuhuenze Iduoriyekemwen and Chris Ogiemwonyi.
