Amosun Reacts To The Death Of Abiola Ajimobi

Ibikunle Amosun, former governor of Ogun State and senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, has commiserated with Senator Abiola Ajimobi ‘s family.

Live News Nigeria reports that, as a result of COVID-19 complications, Ajimobi, a former governor of Oyo State, was said to have passed away Thursday.

In a to the former Oyo State Governor’s wife, Florence Ajimobi, Amosun described him as a highly qualified and trained professional, who had a good career in the private sector, culminating in his appointment as Nigeria ‘s National Oil Corporation’s chief executive.

According to Amosun, Ajimobi distinguished himself in the service of Oyo State, “where he made history twice as the first to be elected Governor, just as in the Senate where he served as chief officer in the Fifth Senate.”

He described the late Ajimobi as a “true friend and brother to remember for his hard work, humor and dedication in serving humanity.”

Amosun prayed that God should give Senator Ajimobi’s family the strength to handle the irreparable loss, adding, “May Allah grant Senator Ajimobi Aljannat Firdaou.”
