“I’m interested in this election because my mom is from Edo… but we as Nigerians should be concerned,” Davido stated ¹ ². He also referenced his previous advocacy during the Osun State gubernatorial election, where his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, was a contestant.
Davido took to social media to express his disappointment with INEC, saying, “My mom is from Edo for those wondering why I’m interested in the election … but we as Nigerians should be concerned sha .. @inecnigeria shame on you I know how many times I had to come in here and rant before they got it right in Osun ! It’s really bad. God help us”.
It’s worth noting that Davido had earlier endorsed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Asuen Ighodalo, for the Edo governorship election via his Instagram account ³.
