The Nigerian Business Coalition Against AIDS (NiBUCAA) launched its annual “We Can Be the Generation That Ends HIV” campaign to commemorate International Youth Day.
Inspired by the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, the campaign aims to empower young Nigerians to take charge in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Reaching Out:
Participants distributed 5,000 educational materials, including brochures and condoms, engaging local residents on HIV prevention and care.
NiBUCAA’s Communications Officer, Chiamaka Madueke, emphasized the urgency of youth involvement: “Young people represent one of the most vulnerable populations regarding HIV due to the rising prevalence of unprotected sex, sharing sharp objects, and a lack of comprehensive information about the virus.”

To mobilize young Nigerians to take ownership of the fight against HIV/AIDS.

NiBUCAA plans to sustain the momentum through ongoing awareness programs and youth engagement.
