The Osun State Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Tosin Odeyemi, has lambasted the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for failing Nigeria.
Odeyemi, in a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Wednesday, argued that the best of the two major political parties has been seen, and it’s time to try a new competent hand to salvage the country from its present predicament.
He attributed the present economic impasse to the failure of leaders to confront cabals holding the country down, stressing the need for truthful and bold leadership.
As the 2027 electioneering period gathers momentum, Odeyemi urged Nigerians to elect credible leaders who can take bold transformative decisions without fear or favor.
“A man of integrity is what Nigeria needs to take bold decisions without fear of favor, no matter whose ox is gored,” he emphasized.
Odeyemi lamented that Nigeria has seen the best of PDP and APC, which has led to widespread hunger, saying, “We have tried the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and now All Progressives Congress (APC). We have seen their best which landed us where we are; hunger everywhere.”
