Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) has dismissed reports that its website was seized by hackers, describing the claim as “entirely false”.
A top GTB executive, who spoke exclusively to DAILY POST, attributed the website issues to a connectivity problem, emphasizing that it had no connection to hacking.
Contrary to reports of a massive phishing operation and customer data interception, the GTB executive assured that the bank’s security measures remain intact.
“It’s false. What we are experiencing is a connectivity issue and has nothing to do with the alleged hacking,” the executive clarified.
The bank’s swift response to the false report underscores its commitment to ensuring the security and integrity of its online platforms and customer data.
