The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has inaugurated a 500-member campaign council for the November 16 governorship election.
The council is chaired by Dr. Eddy Olafeso, National Vice Chairman of the party (South West), with Mr. Clement Faboyede as Director-General.
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, who inaugurated the council, expressed confidence in the party’s victory, citing the poor performance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in the state and country. He urged members to support the campaign council and work towards the party’s success.
Governorship candidate, Mr. Agboola Ajayi, commended Adeleke and Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, for their support. He expressed optimism about the party’s victory, stating, “We have our agenda and we are ready for the election.”
Dr. Olafeso promised to take the campaign to the nooks and crannies of the state, declaring, “We are back and we are back better, we are ready to move and we will win the election.”
The inauguration highlights the unity among PDP governors in the South West, with Adeleke and Makinde supporting the party’s efforts in Ondo State. The campaign council’s large membership demonstrates the party’s commitment to winning the election.
