Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has sparked a debate on the use of makeup by women.
Speaking at the RCCG ministers’ conference in Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun State, Adeboye stated that women who wear makeup do not believe God did a perfect job in creating them.
Adeboye emphasized that God’s creation is perfect and wonderful, and any attempt to alter it through makeup is a sign of disbelief. He said, “When God created you, He did a great job, you are wonderful, perfectly made, and you cannot find any other fellow like you. You are special.”
The revered pastor further stressed that trying to improve on God’s creation through makeup is foolish. He added, “When you begin to paint, and you think you can improve on what God has already done, you are a fool. You can never improve on what God has done.”
Adeboye’s comments have generated interest and discussion among Nigerians, with some agreeing with his stance while others have expressed opposing views.
