In a significant development, the Katsina State Government has relaxed the curfew hours imposed across the state.
According to a statement issued by the state’s Director of Press, Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’adua, on Saturday, the curfew will now be in effect from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am.
This decision was made after the Acting Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal, reviewed the security situation in the state and was satisfied with the progress made. The Secretary to the Government of the State, Abdullahi Garba Faskari, announced the relaxation of the curfew, which was previously in place from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
The Acting Governor commended the security personnel and the general public for their cooperation and law-abiding conduct during the period. He urged citizens to continue with their daily routines while remaining law-abiding.
