The 72nd Annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has witnessed the arrival of 73 newborns, as announced by Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer, on Saturday morning.
This remarkable phenomenon has become a regular feature of the convention, with last year’s event recording 62 births.
Adeboye made the announcement before his sermon, titled “Let There Be Light,” at the Holy Ghost Night held on Friday night until Saturday morning. He noted that the number of newborns had increased to 73, comprising 39 boys and 34 girls, including two sets of twins.
In his message, Adeboye emphasized the significance of light in overcoming darkness, urging worshippers to pray against any form of darkness in their lives and families. He also led the congregation in high prayers, divided into seven points, and announced that the theme for the next annual convention will be “Overcomers.”
The convention, which began on Monday, August 5, 2024, has attracted thousands of worshippers, with both old and new arenas filled to capacity. The event will climax today, Sunday.
Pastor Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer, led an earlier session, praying for the healing of broken families and asking God to make every family a heaven on earth.
