Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho has penned a heartfelt farewell message to Leicester City, marking the end of his seven-year stay with the Foxes.
The 27-year-old striker joined LaLiga outfit Sevilla last week, signing a two-year contract with an option for another year.
In a social media post, Iheanacho expressed his gratitude to the Leicester City owners, teammates, and fans for making his time at the club unforgettable. He highlighted the 2021 FA Cup win as a cherished memory.
“Thank you for the 7 years we shared, I’ll forever cherish our 2021 FA Cup win. Thanks to the owners who brought me to the club, all of my teammates in those years and the amazing foxes fans. All the best for the new season,” Iheanacho wrote on X.
Iheanacho’s farewell message comes after his official unveiling by Sevilla on Tuesday. The Nigerian forward is set to embark on a new chapter in his career with the Rojiblancos.
The Leicester City faithful will undoubtedly miss Iheanacho’s contributions on the pitch, but his legacy and memories will remain cherished by the Foxes’ community.
