In a significant development, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has announced a reduction in the curfew imposed on Potiskum, Gashua, and Nguru, citing improved security in the areas.
According to a statement by Retired Brigadier-General Dahiru Abdulsalam, Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, the curfew will now be in effect from noon to 5 pm, allowing residents to engage in lawful activities.
The governor commended security agencies for their efforts in restoring peace to the area and urged them to remain vigilant during the relaxed curfew hours. He also called on residents to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities.
