Former US President Donald Trump has sounded the alarm on a potential major war in the Middle East and even a “third world war” if he fails to win the upcoming November election.
Trump made this stark warning during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
According to Trump, his victory is crucial to preventing a global conflict. “If we win, it’ll be very simple. It’s all going to work out and very quickly,” he said. “If we don’t, you’re going to end up with major wars in the Middle East and maybe a third world war. You are closer to a third world war right now than at any time since the Second World War.”
Trump’s remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, with the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He has consistently criticized the current administration’s handling of international affairs, suggesting it is pushing the world closer to a global conflict.
In contrast, the Biden administration is working towards a cease-fire deal and the release of hostages held by Hamas. Trump, however, has expressed skepticism about the current situation, describing it as “not an acceptable situation” and questioning the condition of those still held hostage.
